Majority of clients describe the feeling as a ‘prick’ sensation, much like a toothpick pricking the skin. The feeling is slight and only lasts a few seconds, however pain thresholds may vary from patient to patient. Consult with your cosmetic nurse if you would like a topical cream used prior to your treatment.
You will need to stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, St Johns Wort, ginseng, omega3 or fish oil supplements for the 10-12 days prior to your treatment. For the 2-3 days prior to your treatment, you will need to avoid alcohol.
Treatments times will typically only take 30-60 minutes.
No – there is no down-time required, meaning you can return to work and your life activities straight away. Clients should note however that you may experience temporary redness, mild bruising or swelling after your treatment all of which will diminish within 2-3 days.
We recommend to avoid excessive exercise and other strenuous activities, alcohol or blood thinners for 1-2 days post-treatment, to reduce the extent of any after-effects. Clients should also sleep on their back for the night following the treatment to prevent any displacement of the volumiser.
