Immediate (0-24 hours): You can expect mild to moderate redness, skin tightness, and warmth, similar to a light sunburn. Most people are able to resume normal activities, including returning to work, immediately or the next day.

Days 1-3: Redness and any minor swelling or tenderness should progressively subside. Mild flaking or dryness may occur as the skin renews.

Days 3-7: Skin hydration levels begin to noticeably improve, and flaking should cease. Most temporary side effects resolve completely within this timeframe.

Avoid washing the face or getting the treated area wet for the first 4 hours after treatment.

Do not apply makeup for the first 24 hours.

Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for 3-5 days to prevent excessive heat or sweating.

Refrain from using active skincare ingredients such as AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C, or Retinol for at least 72 hours, or as advised by your practitioner.

Avoid direct sun exposure and consistently wear a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ or higher sunscreen for several days post-treatment.

Do not undergo other aesthetic treatments like chemical peels, facials, or cosmetic injectables for 7-14 days.

Use only gentle, recommended products and keep the skin well-hydrated with appropriate moisturisers,

All treatments at our clinic follow strict safety and consent protocols. During your consultation, your cosmetic nurse will discuss suitability, potential side effects and recovery time in person. This allows you to make an informed decision about your treatment.

Warning:

Individual results may vary. All cosmetic procedures carry risks which need to be discussed with a cosmetic nurse. It is always recommended to also seek a second opinion from a qualified health practitioner.
