Treat multiple skin
concerns at the same time.
The NEOGEN EVO NITROGEN PLASMA SYSTEM is the Next Generation of Patented Plasma
Technology, launched by Energist UK. Nitrogen Plasma Technology delivers controlled heating
to the skin architecture stimulating a physiological response, without creating an open
wound.
NEOGEN can treat the upper and lower eyelids, as well as the wider periorbital region.
The entire skin surface is regenerated with no
untreated islands, contributing to improved
tightening, colour, texture and tone, as well as
the removal of pre-cancerous skin lesions.
Post treatment, the epidermis acts as a
natural dressing to provide protection and
speed up healing process.
Post treatment, there is an increased
permeability of the skin barrier allowing
increased absorption of topical preparations
through the skin, enabling faster recovery
and combination therapies.
Redness: Skin appears pink or red immediately after treatment.
Swelling: Mild swelling can occur, usually subsiding in days.
Flaking/Peeling: The outer skin layer sheds, revealing new skin.
Warmth/Tingling: Sensation during treatment.
Rare Risks & Complications:
Infection: A potential, though rare, complication.
Hperpigmentation/Hypopigmentation: Dark or light spots on the skin.
Burns: Signs of skin damage, requiring medical review.
Prolonged Redness: Lasting longer than expected.
Key Safety Factors:
Practitioner Skill: Performed by trained professionals minimizes risks, as high energy levels require expertise.
Controlled Energy: NeoGen delivers plasma energy without breaking the skin’s surface, reducing scarring risk compared to some plasma pens.
Post-Care: Following instructions (moisturizing, sun protection) is crucial for healing and preventing issues.
When to Seek Medical Attention:
Deep bruising or worsening swelling.
Signs of infection (pus, increased pain).
Severe pain or signs of burn
Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Electronic implants, such as pacemakers.
Active skin infections (e.g., herpes simplex, eczema) in the treatment area; preventative medication may be required if you have a history of cold sores.
History of keloid or hypertrophic scarring.
Recent use of oral retinoids (isotretinoin/Accutane); treatment should be avoided for at least 6 months after the last use.
Unprotected sun exposure or tanning within 4 weeks of the treatment.
Autoimmune diseases with active symptoms.
Patients on immunosuppressive therapy or long-term use of topical steroids.
Certain chronic illnesses such as uncontrolled diabetes or epilepsy (within the past 2 years).
Use of some medications including blood thinners, gold therapy, or Antabuse.
Very dark skin tones may have an increased risk of hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) or hypopigmentation (lightening of the skin), requiring careful assessment and potentially pre-treatment with a tyrosinase inhibitor.
Immediately After Treatment: Your skin may feel warm and tight, similar to a mild sunburn, with common redness and swelling.
Days 1-4: The treated area can appear bronzed or slightly brown as the outer layer of skin undergoes a natural modification. Swelling, especially around the eyes, is normal and typically peaks in the first few days before subsiding.
Days 5-10: The superficial layer of skin will begin to flake or peel naturally to reveal fresh, healthy skin underneath. It is crucial not to pick or scratch the flaking skin. Most visible recovery signs resolve within this period for high-energy treatments.
Sun Protection: Avoid direct sun exposure and use a high-SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30-50+) daily for several months post-treatment.
Cleansing & Hydration: Use a mild, gentle cleanser (like Cetaphil or QV) and apply the recommended healing serums or barrier creams (e.g., petroleum jelly) to keep the skin hydrated.
Avoid Irritants: Refrain from using harsh exfoliants, active skincare products (retinol, acids, Vitamin C) until the skin has fully healed, which usually takes about a week or as advised by your clinic.
Physical Activity: Avoid strenuous exercise, swimming, hot yoga, and saunas for at least 48 hours after the procedure to prevent excessive sweating and potential tissue breakdown.
Makeup: Do not apply makeup for at least 24-48 hours. When you do resume using makeup, ensure applicators are clean and the products are mineral-based if possible.
All treatments at our clinic follow strict safety and consent protocols. During your consultation, your cosmetic nurse will discuss suitability, potential side effects and recovery time in person. This allows you to make an informed decision about your treatment.
Warning:
Individual results may vary. All invasive procedures carry risks which need to be discussed with a cosmetic doctor. It is always recommended to also seek a second opinion from a qualified health practitioner.
